Youth Connect South West Appoints Sam Plummer as Chief Executive Officer

Youth Connect South West is delighted to announce the appointment of Sam Plummer as its new Chief Executive Officer.
This appointment follows a highly competitive national recruitment process, which attracted a strong and inspiring field of candidates. The Board of Trustees was particularly impressed by the calibre, insight and passion shown throughout, reflecting the strength of Youth Connect South West’s reputation and the impact of its work with young people.
Sam is a familiar and respected face within the organisation, having been part of Youth Connect South West since its inception as an independent charity. His leadership, values-driven approach, and longstanding commitment to young people have played a vital role in shaping the organisation we are today.
In a message to staff and partners , Sam said:
“I’m absolutely thrilled to be stepping into this role. Youth Connect South West means a great deal to me – not just as a place of work, but as a community of people who genuinely care about young people and about each other. Together with our community and partners, I’m excited to keep building something bold, inclusive and brilliant for the young people we serve.”
Adam Pitt, Chair of the Board of Trustees, added:

As CEO, Sam will lead Youth Connect South West in strengthening partnerships, diversifying income, and expanding its impact across Bath and North East Somerset. He will work closely with staff, trustees, and the wider community to ensure that young people continue to receive the support, opportunities, and spaces they need to thrive.
