Who we are
Youth Connect South West (YCSW) is a young people’s charity and company limited by guarantee. In November 2019, the charity was born as a Public Service Mutual from B&NES youth and targeted youth support services. When we set out our mission, at the top of the agenda was increasing opportunities and services for young people. We believed that there were opportunities out there for young people, which we could access as a registered charity; we could work in a more creative and flexible way. We are proud of the roots of the charity, which has a background in youth work, advice and guidance and targeted youth support.
Our staff come from all walks of life, with many different backgrounds and lived experiences. Many received support from similar services when they were young and want to make a difference to this generation. Our programmes put young people at the centre of what we do, empowering, listening and acting in their best interests.

How we work
We currently operate from Southside Youth and Community Centre in Bath with access to other offices in the Bath and North-East Somerset. Our staff travel independently within Bath and Northeast Somerset and throughout the South-West.
What we offer
At YCSW, we expect commitment from our staff to do the best they can and be the best they can be. We offer a great working environment, excellent Employee Assistance Programme and wellbeing package via SMART Clinic, alongside flexible working in a supportive and friendly team.

What do our staff say?

Jon
Group Work Facilitator
After I had worked at YCSW for only a month, I felt like I had been in the organisation for ages. It was so easy to fit into the team and everyone made a conscious effort to introduce themselves. This has made working collaboratively at Radstock, in order to meet the needs of our young people, really easy to achieve.

Shelley
HR Administrator

I love the people! As they can make me laugh and be supportive when I need it. And knowing I can ask anyone about anything.
YCSW is so supportive and flexible around me and my family. I am excited to start a course soon to further increase my skills and knowledge
