"Youth Connect continue to engage with young people who have found it difficult to work with other agencies. The trust that young people have with workers is evident and many case studies highlight how the work undertaken is led by the young person at their pace. The kind of support provided ranges from promoting positive mental health, helping to cope with bereavement, low confidence and self-esteem as well as practical support such as arranging bus passes, issuing food vouchers and arranging interviews/apprenticeships. Youth Connect continue to identify previously undiagnosed SEND and supported young people to achieve positive outcomes such as attending college or maintaining an apprenticeship when, prior to receiving support from the service, young people often felt helpless with a lack of aspiration or confidence which prevented them even considering that they could achieve anything."
